Sam Lawrence delivers participatory dance experiences for all ages in both education and community settings which encourage the development of creative, physical, emotional and intellectual potential. Classes, workshops and residencies include contemporary dance, physical theatre, choreography, movement and storytelling, creative dance and live music and dance collaboration. Work can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the group.

Movers and Shakers
An after school dance activity for children aged 8-11yrs, providing opportunities to experiment with physical play and be ‘inventors’ of movement 2009.

The Wolds Wonders
Regular creative dance and choreography workshops with a performance group of adults with learning and physical disabilities, working towards a dance performance showcase at Pocklington Arts Centre 2009.

Kirk Hammerton Primary School
Working with KS1 and KS2 pupils in a North Yorkshire village primary school exploring the themes of ‘Extreme Environments’ and ‘Construction’ through creative dance and performance 2009.

Contemporary Dance Classes for Adults
Regular community based classes for adults from complete beginners through to experienced dancers 2008/2009.

Knavesmire Get Movin'
After school dance provision at Knavesmire Primary School for both KS1 and KS2 pupils, 2008/2009.

Hull Dance 08
A series of dance-theatre workshops in special and mainstream schools as part of Hull’s 2008 dance season.

Jesters and Troubadours
A creative dance and storytelling workshop with live music for KS1 pupils based on a medieval theme. Delivered in York primary schools as part of Live Arts Week, 2008.

Our Celebration
